i've never officially dedicated myself to jehovah, but i was brought up in the truth, very strong, and at times when getting older, there were lulls in my attendance... yet to this day i still attend.

The beauty and innocence of childhood. That is truely unconditional and pure love. I also have three children. The love that they have taught me is nothing short of miraculous. Being a parent is a tremendous blessing. It's great to hear how much you and your children enjoy the time you spend together.
i can't find a thread on this subject yet - if there is one , please delete this one.. the september kingdom ministry has a 4 page insert detailing the 70 alterations in the revelation climax book which is due to be studied at the book study shortly.
i'll provide scans if anyone is interested.. i will leave it up to more experienced analysts to examine the reasons for specific changes , but just a few brief observations for now:.
p32 box - "they were completely exonerated" changed to "charges against them were dropped" - interesting change of terminology for the 1918 watchtower eight.
By publishing the changes in a Kingdom Ministry the WBTS accomplishes two things: 1) They appear to be up front and honest to the flock by telling them outright that there are changes in lieu of just re-printing the book and hoping they don't notice and 2) The Kingdom Ministry is arguably one of the least read publications so many rank-n-file dubs wont even realize there have been changes. The ones that do read the KM and are present for the service meeting will soon forget.

can you prepare interesting solid meals or do you not have the flare for it and instead prefer to live on take aways, restaurant meals or simple casual snack meals at home?
i find it hard to concentrate on cooking though i always want to do it and i have actually put together some interesting recipes several times.

Absolutely not! I am totally dependent on my wife for all of my meals. I think that it's part of her master plan.

having cooled down a bit in the garden i got to thinking about what this board has given me and wondered what anyone else feels they have gained from it.. for me its been invaluable and even life changing:.
1) freedom from the brainwashing - when i came here i had already read ray franz's books and still believed it jws had the truth - hat i was basically worthless and that i would die at armageddon.
the reasoned conversations and help of the posters from all over the world has enabled me to have freedom of thought - something i didnt even know i didnt have until i spent time here.. 2) friends who empathise and know from an experience what i have been through in a way outsiders can never possiby understand.. 3) entertainment - unbelievable laughs and moments of humour that have cheered me up so many times.. 4) association - via the aposta bbqs and telephone chats i can now have so i don't feel so isolated and to some extent alleviates the awful pain of separation from my loved family.. 5) information - from this board and posters here i have found out things that were my right to know but would never have learnt otherwise - my sisters marriage, my aunts tragic death.. 6) reunions - i have now met at least one person who knows me from my childhood and has grown into a man of such kindness and patience that i would have missed out on completely had he not been here and been kind enough to hold my hand - even when i've been an irritating totured little idiot!.
A social outlet where I can communicate with strangers who share some common ground with myself. Nothing more.
i just heard an old moody blues song i haven't heard in years.
it was actually a medley...it started out with a spoken word/poem piece called "in the beginning" before moving into "lovely to see you".. anyway, i had always gotten a kick out of the poem but hearing it today, after finding my way out of the jws, gives it a whole new meaning:.

Im a BIG Moody Blues fan. I didn't really get into them untill I started smoking pot. Haven't smoked any weed for some time now but still listen to them. I sam them about 6 or 7 years ago at Blossom Ampitheater near Columbus OH.
This is how I would rate their first seven albums, one being best:

hey i was on holiday last week and we went to a sea-side night market and there was a food stand called "roadkill restaurant".
the motto was "you kill it, we grill it".
charming place.. they had crocodile, buffalo, camel, and kangaroo and emu kebabs.
I've had fried crocodile. I've also eaten spiders and other various insects from the garage or back yard to shock the younglings. It never really shocks them though. They usually just want me to keep eating more, which of course is not the reaction I wanted.
this morning i was talking to my wife, and as i uttered a phrase, i swear my fathers voice came out.
i had to stop for minute.
i started to reflect a little and realized that i have alot of his mannerisms.
The older I get the more I begin to realize just how much like my parents that I am. It doesnt bother me though. I love both of them.

last year at the dc, the brother during the announcements asked the sisters to us the bathroom facilities faster because someone else is waiting to use it and please limit your use of toilet paper.. never though i would see the day when they would tell you how to pee!
where does it end?
Heaven forbid someone would have to run down to the local Mal Wart and buy a few bulk package of TP
